Those undertaking the AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

Students must have completed AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency

As part of AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis students enrolled in Boston College will be required to complete a total of 200 hours of Work Placement in an automotive workshop. This will allow them to obtain practical skills and experience in real workplace settings.
